One of Britain’s most exciting talents, Jake Bugg will play OnBlackheath hot on the heels of the release of his fourth album Hearts That Strain.
Featuring collaborations with Dan Auerbach from The Black Keys and the American Sound Studio, who played for Elvis, the album was recorded in Nashville and is set to cement Bugg as one of the most talented singer/songwriters to come out of the UK in the last decade.
This supremely talented artist wrote all the songs, played most of the instruments and produced almost all of his third album On My One.
“Whether it’s soul or hip hop it all stems from the blues,” says Jake. “To me the blues means singing your emotions and expressing your pain so others can feel it. That’s the beauty of music.”
To make four albums by the age of 23 is no mean feat and shows there is plenty more to come.
