Emma Spitzer was born and raised in Brighton to Jewish parents of Russian and Polish decent and her love of cooking started at a very early age when she would shadow her mother in the kitchen.
Regularly creating Ashkenazi Jewish dishes passed down from her Polish parents, Emma now loves to draw influences from her travels through the Middle East, her cultural heritage and her mother-in-law’s North African roots. She creates food with lots of passion and lots of spice. Her style is big, bold flavours with many different ingredients coming together on one plate.
Emma continues to run the travel business she co-founded with her sister in 2002 as well as teaching cookery classes, catering events and private dinners, running sell-out supper clubs and demonstrating at food festivals around the country.
Emma’s debut cookbook “Fress“ Bold Flavours from a Jewish Kitchen, was released in April 2017 and is currently a best seller on Amazon.
